New Pictures

This is our basic pasta sauce. We will make tons of it as well as plain tomatoes.
This is some dark pink homemade yarn. I like how it turned out and there is a good amount.

Her are the kiddos looking at books together. They look so cute. Below is a beautiful example of a Suncrest peach.I canned some asian plum sauce and jalapeno jelly. They both turned out lovely.

Summer Happenings

Above is the yarn that is hand spun and dyed. Below is a bowl of pickling cucumbers from our garden. We have slicers too.
Here is one of the slicers they are wonderful. They are best right off the plant. The next picture is of the kids tea blend I made a while back. I combine it with lemon sugar and smashed strawberries.

I have only done a little canning so far this year. Here is the bread and butter pickles, salty pickles and cherry jam.
We went picking cherries. They were delicious as you can see by Kira's face below.

June 2012

This vulture was perched on the roof. I am not sure why he was doing this but it was interesting. We all went strawberry picking at the farm and the grapes were right by us. They are beautiful.
We walked over at the Delta Ponds the other day. Nice day but no birds.
Kira likes strawberries as you can tell by her face. She also likes playing in the weeds near the strawberry field.

This is Kira in the dress Katrina knitted for her. Below is a crappy picture of Alton Baker Park.

Here is a picture of the SUV that crashed into the our back fence and telephone pole. He was unharmed. He was very intoxicated.

March 2012

This is the crocus from the little bed in front of the house and below is Alton Baker Park.
These were one of the only things blooming at Alton Baker Park with the exception of the yellow witch hazel below.

This is the first flower open on our Japanese plum. This tree is almost three times the size it was when planted last year. It is nice to see some color in winter. Aaron isn't going to trim it much so it should be very pretty once it is big.

02-2012

The witch hazel bloomed a little later this year. Last year it bloomed in the beginning of January.
Here is the new wheel. The Kromski Sonata. It is beautiful and a pleasure to use. I finally used it last night. I ran out of grout for the bathroom floor. I wasn't allowed to use it until I finished the grout. I made an exception because I ran out.
Here is a brief before and after of the floor. I think the peel and stick tiles worked out really well so far.

You can't forget Shifty. He is such a beautiful kitty.
